Porphyry Weekend Art Retreat

Thursday, August 29 – Sunday, Sept 1

$1545 + HST

Spend 4 days surrounded by the beauty of Porphyry Island on the rugged north shore of Lake Superior painting and reconnecting to what is important to YOU.

This weekend is geared towards the beginner painter who is looking to learn from someone who turned her passion for painting and design into a thriving business that she enjoys.

Not only will you get to create a few paintings of your own that you will be proud of, but you will also be spending some time creating a vision board and reconnecting with the passions, hobbies, and goals that are important to you in your life.

Your Instuctor

Deena Kruger

Artist, Visionary, Entrepreneur

If you have ever had the pleasure of being in the company of Deena Kruger, you instantly get the feeling
that something great is about to happen. Deena’s smile, energy and genuine concern for others are
infectious. A self-taught artist, successful businesswoman, loving wife, daughter, sister, cancer survivor,
mentor, friend, beautiful soul and community supporter are just a few words that describe this very
talented young woman.

Dee has always believed and lived her passion whether she is creating beautiful works of art using her tools
of choice- palette knives, spray bottles, sponges and acrylic paints instructing hundreds of students
through her “Painting with Dee” art classes, supporting and promoting local Thunder Bay artists at her
Creative Art Gallery or by supporting the community of Thunder Bay by providing an amazing new art and
entertainment space called The Creative Studio.

Just like her signature birch trees that stand tall, strong, ever-growing yet flexible, Deena is always evolving,
learning and making everything and everyone better. She tirelessly encourages others to be creative in all
areas of their life, while inspiring them to dream again. Deena’s artistic talents are branching out while
developing solid roots within the Thunder Bay community. You will be inspired, enriched and motivated to
embark on your own creative journey having met or painted with Dee.
