Statements Without Words
I was first introduced to Lake Superior’s incredible landscapes and power by my husband over forty years ago…and have loved both ever since.
Digital photography began as a tourism business need but has evolved into a rich, satisfying chronicle of where northerners play - who we are - and how blessed we are to live alongside Lake Superior’s majestic coast.
Capturing the light, shadows and moods of Lake Superior and her residents are part of my essence now, and I strive to perfect these digital ‘statements without words’.
⦁ Landscapes and Nature Photography
⦁ Legacy Portraits - for the next generation
⦁ Commercial - event, product and real estate photography
An active member of the PPOC (Professional Photographers of Canada) since 2014, I have earned seven national accreditations and more recently my Masters of Photographic Arts designation. For those who are not aware of this organization, the PPOC is a go-to place for serious photographers in Canada. www.ppoc.ca Their educational offerings and in particular their scrutiny and attention to photographic standards and details have improved my work tremendously. One must pass their standards to display the PPOC logo.
Past careers in education and tourism afford me a natural comfort in sharing photography tips and a love of Lake Superior with others.
