About Sail Superior
Following a passion for sailing and a love of the water, it’s become a privilege to lead this life on the lake. Entrusted to the waters at an early age, Greg grew up as his dad’s shadow, learning everything and anything he could. Entranced in pure amazement, he remembers standing at the edge of the lake wonderstruck at the knowledge that with one step, he was directly connected to the rest of the world. So driven by this passion to explore and share the world with others, it became a voice too loud to ignore.
Leading a life of travel and worldly adventure, it all started with a 23ft vessel purchased by his father and uncle at the young age of ten years old. Returning to Thunder Bay in 1999, Sail Superior was established alongside his father with the purchase of their first 40ft sailboat. Many years and thousands of sea miles later, Sail Superior has become a pillar of the Thunder Bay Waterfront District. Proudly serving the community from a fleet of 4, the range of adventures continues to grow with each coming season. Our full-time team of 4 is supported by a range of incredibly talented and amazing individuals, the Sail Superior crew boast knowledgable and friendly staff ready to greet you with a smile and the wag of a tail!
Building a reputation throughout the years, Sail Superior is honoured to be recognized by industry peers as both the 2017 Northern Ontario Industry Leader in Innovation and 2020 Northern Ontario Industry Leader in Product Development.
