Superior Rocket - Zodiac Hurricane

TOP SPEED: 60 mph        OPEN for 2025 Bookings

The "Superior Rocket" is a 12 passenger 30 ft Zodiac Hurricane 920. Zodiac is a trade name for a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) or Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB). The Rocket is constructed of aluminum and ringed with large air-filled tubes. Super fast, lightweight, durable and incredibly seaworthy. Canadian forces and most militaries around the world use Zodiacs on their missions. Just think of James Bond. There is almost always a chase scene with a RIB. Now ragtop covered for all weather encounters

Top speeds of 90 km/h. What does 90 km/h really mean? Time! More time to explore your destination. Less time driving or in some cases sailing; Spar Island, Porphyry Light House, Silver Islet, the Sleeping Giant. See the entire harbour and the Kaministiqua river, round the big lakers and salties in the Bay, and still be back in town early enough to experience the great food and drink Thunder Bay is known for.

Fun fact: The serial number starts with an X and has 001, meaning it was the first Zodiac Hurricane 920 ever built.

FRODO - Jonmeri 40

LENGTH: 40 ft        OPEN for 2025 Bookings

A Jonmeri 40 built in Finland, Frodo is a true blue water cruiser/racer. Frodo has braved trans-Atlantic crossings in 2004/5 and sailed on the North Atlantic in September from St. John’s to Lisbon. She is able to keep you safe on the waters of Superior’s rugged Canadian shore, no matter what the conditions.

Frodo can comfortably and safely take you anywhere on the lake. Venture further on a more adventurous excursion out to the nearby Welcome Islands. Get a taste of Lake Superior and see the picturesque Islands, maybe keep going across the bay to the Sleeping Giant where 1200 foot high cliffs await to challenge you on the Hike the Giant excursion.

Journeyer - Down Easter 38 Ketch

LENGTH: 38 ft        OPEN for 2025 Bookings

Journeyer is a Downeaster 38 two mast ketch constructed in 1975 in California. A comfortable coastal cruiser that has loads of deck space, she's sure to offer a relaxing cruise.

Retrofitted in 2010, the diesel engine was replaced with a silent and more eco-friendly electric engine. The electric engine limits her range so this is why we use her in and around the city of Thunder Bay harbour.

A full refurbishment in 2024 has given her a stunning new look, easily now the best looking vessel in the harbour.

Easy to operate and sail, her classic wood trim appearance and two mast design make her a beautiful boat to look at and cruise on.
