Special Ceremonies - ash scattering
Ash Spreading Policy
We understand that many guests wish to honor their loved ones by spreading their ashes onto the water. To ensure this process is respectful and safe, we have established the following guidelines:
- Weather Conditions: If it is too windy, the urn must be placed unopened to float away. The captain will use their discretion to determine if conditions are suitable.
- Containers: Only biodegradable, water-soluble containers are permitted. No plastic or non-biodegradable materials are allowed.
- Floral Arrangements: Flowers are acceptable if they are natural and organically grown. No bands, tape, or artificial materials are permitted.
- Fire Safety: No fire, incense, or flames of any kind are allowed during the ceremony.
- Location: All ash spreading ceremonies will take place on the far (lake) side of the breakwater to ensure privacy and respect for you, other boaters and lake users.
- Charter Requirement: Ash spreading ceremonies must be booked as a private charter to allow for a respectful and private ceremony.
- Notification: While advance notice is not required for your booking, please notify the captain at the start of the charter that you wish to spread ashes.
- HOW TO RESERVE: Simply book any private tour from our main menu and follow the above guidelines.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines. Our goal is to ensure a respectful and safe experience for all guests.
